XiOPhotonics @ European Photonic Integration Forum

XiO Photonics will contribute to the 2nd European Photonic Integration Forum with the following presentation:

Willem Hoving, Edwin Klein and Ronald Dekker:  “Recent product applications of a generic approach of PLC technology and photonics packaging”  
 New markets are opening up for integrated-optics in the visible and near infrared wavelength regions, e.g.  for optical sensing and imaging.  We describe how a low-loss optical-chip platform for combining visible laser wavelengths is offering the pathway to modular, plug-and-play light-sources for confocal microscopy in biology and medical research.  Key to success is a generic approach to the chip technology and photonics packaging.
